Saadet Türköz is a componist/singer/performer of Kazach and Turkish origins, she grew up in Istambul, and since 1981 is based in Switzerland. Since 90s Türköz combines in her work contemporary improvisation technique with Kazakh and Turkish traditional sounds, colors, and melodies. Türköz has collaborated with many different musicians: Bobby Mc Ferrin, Elliott Sharp, Wu Wei, Peggy Lee, Julian Sartorius, Charlotte Hug, Shahzad Ismaily, Gyda Valtisdottir, Wilbert de Joode, Irene Schweizer and many more. She also works in video, theater, film, dance, and literature. She has collaborated with Pipilotti Rist, Anka Schmid, Elpida Orfanidou, Sven Holm, Johanna Lier, Mustafa Kaplan & Filiz Sizanli, Gita Gsell, Ilma Rakusa und Nikola Weisse among others.
