Kristine Donnelly
Resident Artist
1.8. – 31.8.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, currently getting her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati's Department of Art, Architecture, and Planning (DAAP). She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Art History from Indiana University. She has shown her work locally throughout both Indiana and Ohio.
In her work, she creates, reproduces, and manipulates examples of patterns and decorative elements found in interior spaces. Pattern is used as a vehicle to explore contemporary and historical social issues. The fickle and impermanent nature of domestic decoration is of great interest to her. Her work consists of intricate cut paper and printed images that are created in a painstaking laborious manner.
