Exhibition in the framework of the Festival Funkeho Kolín.
The Traces presents selection of works of several Czech, mostly young artists, appropriating strategy of the "aleatoric" recordings. By means of different media as photography, photogram, or drawing they record the course of physical event on paper or another kind of the sensitive surface.
Exhibited works bears the similarity rather with diagram, a trace, which is imprinted into the sensitive medium and are evidence of a real, but inreproducible event. The curatorial project is also adresing the question of artist's role or involvement in the creative act, since in this case artist role is limited to asistence of the conditions of emergence of the image.
