Presentation of the new publication about manipulations of photography in the digital age by Alena Lábová and Filipa Láb, accompanied with a lecture, focusing on artistic apropriations of images from masmedia.
The book The Nightfall of Photojournalism covers the photography in journalism after twenty years of the digital age, when the situation allows to look back. New emerging genres as the Engineering Failure Analysis, digital detective and cases of photgraphic hoax are some of the issues which will be mentioned.The strategies of contemporary artist who apropriate the new tool are discussed as well.
Alena Lábová and Filip Láb teach at the Institute of communication studies and journalistic at the FSV Charles University.
