The collaboration between Michael Delia and Martin Alaçam began in 1998 during a residency in the Plasy Monastery. Right from the start the two found a common musical language and sound with the guitar and mbira. The duo delia | alaçam was formed in August 2002 when they played an improvised concert at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Prague. The music they perform today consists of composed pieces with some improvisations keeping the original spirit of their first musical dialogue. For their concert in Skolska Gallery the duo will be joined by Lucy Fillery-Murphy on cello, a Prague-based musician formerly of the groups Deep Sweden and Sing Sing.
