Agrosquatting is a social activity. It may (but need not) be obvious. It may have a private, self-contained character, but at the same time be a political act. It may (but need not) be a strategy, whose essential motivation, or structural action may take the form of art. Agrosquatting appears right in the overlap between these areas.
Although not strictly defined, Agrosquatting is flexible and malleable. One such project has been taking shape since 2009 in a neglected apple orchard, without the knowledge of the owners. The orchard is located in a former collective farm, which is reflected in their work. From season to season the artists take care of the orchard, the trees, the animal population and other needs of the area.
