Eternal lights shine mostly in Catholic churches, at least if they are open. In some countries one can find burning lights as well on the streets, in homes, corridors, shops. But someone has to maintain the flame, pour the oil, replace the candle. Eternal Light for White board refers to this ancient tradition. The billboard is lit by a flat battery and tiny bulb. A metaphorical reference to eternity is represented by two rows of exhausted AA batteries, arranged in such a way that new ones can be added one by one, potentially until the end of the world. Discharged batteries, which are connected serially, draw the residual energy, which heats up, at least a little bit, the bulb’s filament.
