Zulai Macias Osorno (*1978 Mexico City) will receive her master in philosophy this year from the National University of Mexico (UNAM) with the thesis "The silent power in the bodily experience of contemporary dance".
She has studied contemporary dance and the techniques of Martha Graham, Lester Horton, Release, Limon and Fandiño, in the Ollin Yoliztli Institute, Arte en V, Los Talleres de Coyoacán and at the UNAM, principally.
Since 2007, she writes for the magazine DanzaNet and she has participated in different colloquies and congress about dance theory.
The residency takes place in cooperation with the Theatre Institute in Prague, Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the National Fund for the Culture and the Arts in Mexico.
