“On April 27 of 2013 I decided to visit Tate Britain and Tate Modern in London, focusing on the sonic aspect of the experience. Tate Modern is hectic and the atmosphere with all the people randomly walking around and talking loud makes it almost impossible to concentrate on the art works. In Tate Britain on the contrary, I managed to submerge into a deep experience. As I was wandering through the rooms and looking at the paintings, the awareness of my own body and the physicality of the space were intensified through the acute listening of the museum’s reverberant soundscape.
“In the piece I used sonic material from the recordings of the two museums, adding some discreet sinewaves to knit the composition together. No filtering or effects processing was added to the environmental recordings.”
