This installation by Jakub Rajnoch and Jiří Mrákota makes use of the ordinary situation of entering a public space where the lighting is controlled by motion sensors.
The usual function of billboards is to provide a place for some form of printed communication, visual and verbal. Jakub Rajnoch and Jiří Mrákota set aside the usual type of communication, seeking a space that has no practical use, and extending the gap between the board and the wall with simple but ambiguous light installation.
Jakub Rajnoch graduated from the Department of Informatics of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague. He has worked as a consultant in the field of intelligent transport systems abroad, and currently studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in the Sculpture II Department.
Jiří Mrákota graduated from the Department of Informatics of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague. He works primarily in DTP, MCU programming, and designs HW (intelligent home installations) and 3D printing.
