Školská 28 gallery, run by the organization DEAI/Setkání, announces Open Call for art and curatorial exhibition projects designed for Školská 28 gallery during the 2016 - 17 season. Proposals for both one-person and group projects are welcome. The call targets proposals by both Czech and international artists.
The exhibition program is dedicated to the presentation of contemporary Czech and international artwork in visual, audio-visual and sound art media. More detailed information about the gallery's concepts, floor plan, and an archive of past exhibitions can be found our official web site
at www.skolska28.cz. Concepts for exhibition projects are not thematically restricted. We also welcome also site-specific proposals and other projects with social and community aspects, but proposals must respect the general esthetic inclinations of the gallery program and the functional limitations of the space.
Accepted projects will be scheduled for exhibition in the gallery during the 2016-17 season, beginning in March, 2016. In making the decision to accept and produce a proposal, the financial conditions of the Školská 28 gallery's organizational budget for the exhibition period is an overriding consideration. The accepted proposals will be announced on the website of Školská 28 gallery on or before November 30, 2015.
Date and terms for applications:
Applications must include one copy in electronic and printed form the following:
* Brief description of the project (up to 3 pages).
* Name and contact information of the applicant
* Documentation of previous completed works or exhibitions by the applicant
* Applicant's current artist CV (for group proposals, include a CV for each participant)
* Visual or other documentation of proposed project
* Estimated financial sources for covering the cost of the project (grants, sponsors, own investment as well as anticipated financial contribution of Školská 28 gallery).
Deadline
Entries must be received at Školská 28 or (if mailed) postmarked by September 25, 2015.
Proposals can be delivered personally from September Tuesday to Friday from 1pm to 6pm at Communication space Školská 28 gallery
(address: Školská 28, 110 00 Prague 1 – in the courtyard, enter by the gateway) or sent by post to address: DEAI/Setkání organization (Gallery Školská), Dlouhá 33, 110 00 Praha 1. Please mark the outside of your envelope with “Školská 2016”
It will be possible to collect proposal materials after the completion of the selection process up until the end of January, 2016. Otherwise, no documentation will be returned.
