How to plagiarize, plunder, pick apart a work. Interfering as a sign of interest. Meddling as carework. How to reveal a text’s texture – and entangle the warp and woof in entirely new ways. How to lift words from context, put them in other people’s mouths – and what (and whom) do we disown when we speak. Inscription as engrafting, and its gifts.
The event will consist of experiments with (not only) literary appropriation presented in the form of readings, translations and micro-performances of authors and visual artists. A few questions will be answered; yet others will by posed.

Olga Pek is a poet, translator and cultural organizer. She is the editor-in-chief of the Czech quarterly for contemporary poetry Psí Víno. Together with Zuzana Husárová, she has published an origami chapbook Amoeba (2015) and together with David Vichnar, PhD., she has edited the collection Terrain: Essays on the New Poetics (2014). Her poetry has appeared in Czech magazines and translations into several languages.
Sára Vybíralová is a translator from French and fiction writer. In her doctoral studies she focuses on the topic of late medieval narration. Apart from having her prose and poetry published in various literary periodicals, she has debuted in 2015 with the short stories collection Spoušť.
The event is co-organized by the magazine Psí víno and the Školská 28 Gallery.
