Matěj Kratochvíl
Matěj Kratochvíl is a professional musicologist and an amateur musician, who enjoys producing various acoustic and electronic sounds. He divides his interest between free improvisation and Moravian folk music, plays clarinet, saxophone and fujara (Slovakian shepherd‘s flute). Matěj Kratochvíl studied musicology in Olomouc and ethnology in Prague. He works in Czech Academy of Sciences doing research on historical recordings and contemporary forms of folk music. He is also the editor-in-chief of the magazine HIS Voice, which is focused on all kinds of “weird” contemporary music.
