Dani Burrows, Director of Strategy at Delfina Foundation, will present on the importance of international exchange in the development of artistic and curatorial practice. She will discuss the model of collaborative exchange used at Delfina Foundation, which includes multidisciplinary thematic programmes such as The Politics of Food and Performance as Process, as well as give practical advice on applying for a residency in London and how to get the most out of this experience.
Burrows is Director of Strategy at Delfina Foundation, which is London’s largest international residency space working with artists, curators, writers and thinkers at a range of points in their career. The Foundation runs a public programme of events and exhibitions aimed at fostering critical discourse on the contemporary arts in relation to everyday life. Burrows is responsible for creating new artistic programmes and partnerships with a range of organisations and individuals, while also working with artists, curators and thinkers before and during their residencies. Before joining Delfina, she worked with Bidoun Projects, as well as a discussion programme at PS1 Moma.
Since 2007 Delfina Foundation has supported over 250 artists continuing the legacy of the Delfina Studios Trust, which nurtured hundreds of creative practitioners including more than a dozen Turner Prize nominees.
