David Možný (born 1963) studied art education at the Faculty of Education of the Masaryk University in Brno. In 2000, he started working with computers and currently he primarily authors videos and video installations, also working as a VJ and creator of video for theater performances and scenic reading. In his computer animations, reality is based on architectural photographs (Rahova), prints of interiors, or  dictionary illustrations (Slow).

By transforming urban and social utopias and stylized environments, he comments on their anachronism and decay and his work thus carries a disturbing, catastrophic effect. Možný creates spatial models that act on the tension between reality and software; also, the smooth movement of movie shots returns time to photographs and drawings, disturbing their static character.
