The early-spring installation of Miloš Šejn for Školská 28 organically compounds his persistent fascination by the nature, natural science, art and spiritual experience, and connects all these parts into a single unit. The theme of gardening and botany reflects its mundane meaning alongside the expression of wonder in his activities as a collector and investigater. Perhaps not by pure accident, the gallery is attached to an inner garden, hidden between the high walls of the surrounding houses.
Miloš Šejn works in the fields of visual visual art, performance art and study of visual perception, and conducts workshops, such as Bohemiae Rosa.
His artistic concept was formed in his youth when he undertook many trips into the wilderness as a reflex of an inner need to get closer to nature’s secret and observe the miracles that happen in it. From the beginning of the 1960s he took pictures, drew, collected and described his observations of nature during these wanderings. Currently he teaches mixed media and the relationship of nature and art as intrinsic needs of the mind at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, and focuses on immediate creative possibilities, based upon relations between historical humanized landscapes and intact nature.
HANDA GOTE is a project concerned with the research and development of movement theatre, design theatre, music and sound design and the integration of science and technology in art.
