Artists from Boutique - "Raum für temporäre kunst" from Cologne will be presented in a special audiovisual evening. Andreas Oskar Hirsch, Balz Isler and Tina Tonagel will show their latest projects.
Andreas Oskar Hirsch moves between a variety of media. Along with musical performances, his pieces comprise drawings, photographs, videos, sound, objects and books, all displaying an observant and playful approach combined with a keen interest in automated processes and conceptual considerations. Balz Isler`s multimedia installation performances shows, overrides and translates digital data in form of video, photography, sound, clips and text in "real-time". His artistic work entangles the physical and subjective experience with the flood of digital images in abstract ideas, which implicate an endlessness of subjective perception, experience and navigation.
Tina Tonagel`s artistic focus lies on kinetic machines, sound installations and different kinds of projections. At the moment she mainly works with overhead projectors which she rebuilds into new realtime-motion-projection-machines by using mechanical constructions.
Selected artists from Boutique Rftk are presented as well within the frame of Multiplace in Brno and later in Berlin. Special thanks to artists and organizers Maximilian Erbacher and Yvonne Klasen.
Boutique - Raum für temporäre kunst`s location and conceptual orientation make it one of a kind in Cologne. Alternative, non-commercial project space is in the inhospitable concrete surroundings of Ebertplatz, a transport node not far from the central station. The space is a platform and site of communication for artistic and curatorial positions and experiments. Site and space-specific installations are an emphasis of the program.
