Ilia Belorukov – Martin Alaçam – White Wigwam

electroacoustic improvisation
Mon 6.10. - 19:30

Three different approaches to electronic instruments in hands of three very different improvisors.

Ilia Belorukov
Ilia Belorukov (b.1987) is a musician from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. He works in the direction of improvised, noise and electroacoustic music. He’s a member of different projects such as Wozzeck, Wooden Plants, Benzolnye Mertvecy and others. He collaborates with musicians who work in other genres (from hardcore and metal to academic contemporary music); with dancers and painters; with theater. Ilia practices an experimental approach of sound extraction on alto saxophone, uses laptop, electric-guitar and other instruments. Also he is a founder of Intonema label (www.intonema.org). Organizer of events in Russia, co-organizer of the Teni Zvuka festival in Saint-Petersburg, writer of Contemporary Music magazine. Ilia had played with such musicians as Keith Rowe, Robin Hayward, Alfredo Costa Monteiro, Ruth Barberan, Luca Venitucci, Stefano Ferrian, David Stackenäs, Lucio Capece, Radu Malfatti, Birgit Ulher, Ignaz Schick, Jonas Kocher, Gaudenz Badrutt and many others.

Martin Alaçam
Prague based Istanbul born guitarist. Founding member of the “contaminated chamber music” quartett Metamorphosis. Various collaborations&improvisations, amongst others with Vladimir Vaclavek, Beth Custer, Hugh Livingston, Dan Janál. Mbira-guitar duo with Michael Delia, which sometimes becomes a trio. Bands of short life-span in Prague and Istanbul (Sing-sing, SU, Strom, At Martini İdman Yurdu). Music for documentaries, animation and multimedia.

White Wigwam
The most silent member of the invisible scene around KLaNGundKRaCH label, played in Kaspar von Urbach, now with Rouilleux and Pretty Old Sound. He uses minimalistic electronics, both stretched-out and rhythmical, to build a gloomy sound environment that evokes an atmosphere of a dark discotheque hidden somewhere behind the secret doors. Last year White Wigwam released split album with french project Klaus Legal and recently he released, again on tape, debut studio album Ground / Triger.
