An intensive workshop on the fundamental knowledge of the origin and propagation of light and sound. In addition to a general introduction, an outline of the wide range of possibilities, the workshop will provide an opportunity to play around with these phenomena by creating original do-it-yourself appliances. The goal is to offer to young artists, scenographists and the curious the inspiration to make nontraditional use of light and sound in the theatre, in galleries, or in public spaces. No digital technology will be employed. The workshop will concentral solely on methods of working with light that have been well understood now for centuries.
