Zlámal, Pavel

Pavel Zlámal is a Czech clarinetist, saxophonist, and composer. He is the leader of the projects Next Phase, Brno Improvising Unit, Ensemble 308, and Windhoor Squad. Zlámal performs solo as an improviser and experimenter and has recorded or collaborated with the likes of George Cremaschi, Rod Paton, Hilary Jeffery, Nicolas Collins, Peter Graham, Hanus Axmann, Will Guthrie, David Doruzka, Ivan Palacký, Jan Faix, Bernadette Zeilinger, and many others. In 2010, Pavel was a member of the ambitious international project ÖNCZkekvist Improvising Orchestra. Zlámal premiered Peter Graham’s “Broken Concerto” in 2012. He currently appears as a member of Brno Contemporary Orchestra, the Fireballs, B Side Band, and Gabriela Kočí & Jazz Company.
