Joshua Hakimi is a native New Yorker and has worked in the food and wine industries since he was 16. He has seen much of the world and both U.S. coasts as a chef, cooking in New York, California, Portugal, Brazil, Germany, Turkey and Italy. He was also a master bread baker’s apprentice for two years while pursuing an art career in Berlin. Joshua holds the Certified Specialist in Wine certificate from the Society of Wine Educators and earned the WSET® Diploma in Wine and Spirits through the International Wine Center in 2009. He currently curates the 5,000-bottle wine collection at New York’s Wined Up wine bar and Punch restaurant. You can find him there nightly, leading tastings or instructing informal classes on the joys of the vine.
