Founded in summer 2012 by George Cremaschi and Petr Vrba, Prague Improvisation Orchestra (PIO) experiments with conducted and free improvisation, open scores, and graphic notation with an evolving roster of collaborators.

At Prague's Divadlo Ponec, PIO will perform with lighting designer Tomáš Morávek and movement artists Jan Bárta, Martina Hajdyla Lacová, Lukáš Homola, Lea Švejdová, and Zdenka Svíteková. Austrian guitarist Martin Siewert of the ensembles Radian, Trapist and Heaven And, will also join the ad-hoc event.
