This conference will provide a forum for the representatives of cultural initiatives across the Czech Republic to meet, and also invites anyone interested in topics related to the current state of culture in the regions outside of the capital city.
Friday: Prepared in cooperation with the creators of the podcast series of Artalk Továrna na kultura and representatives of the Hraničář Public Hall, a public debate will take place focusing mainly on the new State Cultural Policy for 2021 to 2025 and the issues the cultural and creative industries face, with a closer look at the emerging cultural network in the Ústí nad Labem region.
Saturday: We will present the mapping project of the Agosto Foundation Cartography of (Eko)systems: Black Edition, for which we gathered throughout 2021 the insights of more than 60 representatives of smaller cultural and artistic initiatives (individuals, formal and informal associations or free groupings), which they are actively involved in environmental and social issues in all regions of the Czech Republic (except for Prague). During two moderated discussions, we will focus on the topics of cooperating with local governments and cooperating with local communities.
A preliminary program and more about the project will be made available in April at the project website for Black Edition.
The project Cartography of (Eko)systems: RurArtMap and Perpedian Map: Black Edition is supported by a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway as part of the EHP Fund.
