Daniel Šperl (born 1966) is a Czech photograper who documented and participated in most of the symposia and festivals in Plasy between 1993 and 1999.

Šperl was introduced to photography by his father. In 1982, he became a member of the photographic group Ekran (Screen) in Tábor and has exhibited with them regularly since. From 1986 to 1990 he studied at the Institute for Creative Photography of the Union of Czech Photographers. From 1991, Šperl studied at the Photography department of the Film and Television Faculty in Prague, where he completed his M.F.A. and continued his doctoral studies. His focus is on black and white documentary photography. He exhibits and publishes in the Czech Republic and abroad, and is represented by the Leica Gallery in Prague. He currently works as a TV and film cameraman and lives in Prague.
